This antique brooch is a unique piece of mourning jewelry with a fabric encased in the back of the brooch. It is masterfully carved and adorned with precious jewels highlighting its unique open filigree features. The pin is solid 18kt yellow gold and encrusted with multiple emeralds and old mine-cut diamonds. It was made in the 1800s, specifically the Georgian period, and is in good condition with noticeable signs of wear and tarnish. The gems do have chips and inclusions visible to the naked eye.
